PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent the generation of rust on the drive shaft of the titled pump due to the leakage of water or water vapour by a method wherein a space communicating with a space within the inner periphery of a sealing member is ventilated by a second pump blade. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 9 communicating with the space 8a within the inner periphery of the sealing member 8 is provided at the back of the sealing member 8. Further, the chamber 9 is provided therein with the second pump blade 12 fixed to the drive shaft 6 of the pump so that it is possible to ventilate the chamber 9 through an inlet port 10 and an outlet port 11 by the rotation of the blade 12. That is, the blade 12 sucks flesh open air through the inlet port 12 and the flesh air is discharged outside from the outlet port 11 as it carries leaking water and water vapour. As a result, the chamber 9 and th space 8a are dehumidified to thereby prevent the generation of rust or the like undesirable phenomenon on the drive shaft 6. |
