PURPOSE:To make it possible to lubricate bearings of the titled compressor smoothly by a method wherein oil passages circulating between bearing chambers and the intake side, a compression chamber or the discharge side of the compressor are provided and of the above passages, those having large sectional areas are provided at positions higher in level than the slide surfaces of the bearings while those having small sectional areas are provided at positions lower in level than the above mentioned slide surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust oil circulating passages 40 and 41 having large sectional areas and opening in the intake and discharge side bearing chambers 9 and 11 are provided at positions higher in level than the slide surfaces of the bearings 50 and 51 and the exhaust oil circulating passages 43-46 having small sectional areas and opening in the bearing chambers 9 and 11 are provided at positions lower in level than the slide surfaces of the above mentioned bearings. With the above structure, even when an electrical power failure takes place, the bearings 50 and 51 are kept lubricated since they are soaked in the oil for a while. Then the oil begins to escape slowly from the oil passages 43-47 having small sectional areas and opening at the lower level positions so that the oil whose viscosity has reduced and whose lubricity has become poor as a result of dissolving a large quantity of a coolant at a lowered temperature at the time of re-operation of the compressor disappears from the slide surfaces of the bearings and a fresh oil of high lubricity is supplied in its stead, to thereby improve the reliability of the bearings. |
