PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a sealing member, and to operate a control section, which controls a thermostat in response to the state of operation of the internal-combustion engine and controls the temperature of the cooling liquid, positively by connecting the control section to the thermostat in a cooling liquid path. CONSTITUTION:The thermostat 3 is positioned between a water outlet 22 and a water outlet housing 23. The control section 25 consists of a stopper 35 connected to a negative pressure introducing pipe 34, a bellows 36, which is set up around the stopper, and a flange section 33, which is connected to the lower end of the bellows 36 and has a control shaft 26, and is disposed into the water outlet housing 23. The control shaft 26 is slid in a rubber member 27 mounted into the temperature sensing section 24 of the thermostat 3, changes the volume of space 40 in response to the negative pressure of a suction pipe, and can adjust the temperature of the valve opening of the thermostat 3. |
