PURPOSE:To provide a labeller for adhering a label printed thereon to an article and capable of saving labor in setting a label tape, by a method wherein a label tape can be automatically set in position by simply inserting the tape through an insert port and operating an opening and closing frame. CONSTITUTION:The opening and closing frame 8 is operated, and the label tape 5 with labels 51 pasted thereon is inserted through the insert port 12, with the labels 51 kept on the outside. The tape 5 is fed straightly until coming into contact with a contact piece 71 of a label stopper 7, without being blocked by a bending-back edge 92 of a bending-back member 9. Then, when the frame 8 is stopped, the tape 5 is rotated by the edge 92 and is projected by pressing from the side of a carrier tape 52. At this time, the insert end of the tape 5 is taken back by the bending operation, and after the bending operation is completed, the insert end side is pressed against a feeding drum 3 by a pressing roll 83, and the tape 5 is automatically set in position in a feedable manner. |
