Ceramic electrodeposition from charged suspension - to produce tiles of various designs

The parent patent describes a process for the electrodeposition of conductive deposits from a charged suspension by means of strictly controlled electrode reaction. Therein the process is used for electroforminq, in a single operation, of tiles or tile units with varied contours and rounded edges, having a thickness of 1-15 mm. with the individual elements of the tiles having surfaces of up to 750 x 750 mm. or even 1000 x 1000 mm. The tile units may be of 'mosaic', 'stained glass window' or 'jigsaw puzzle' type and may be used as wall or floor tiles or, when the individual elements consist of thin dielectric material elements, as substrates for use in electronics. A wide variety of ceramic tiles can be produced, including tiles incorporating various desiqns, texts or photographs by a single stage process.
