PECOVERY OF PIGMENT FROM WASTE INK

PURPOSE:To carry out the sufficient recovery of valuables such as a pigment or a solvent from a waste ink, by adding a solvent inferior to pigment dispersibility to the waste ink in a definite ratio. CONSTITUTION:A waste ink from a waste ink tank 11 and a solvent inferior to pigment dispersibility from a solvent tank 12 are respectively sent to a mixing and stirring tank 20 by a pump P and the resulting mixed liquid is transported to a precipitative separation tank 15 by a pump. After a pigment is separated by precipitation in this precipitative separation tank 15, the pigment is concentrated and desolvated by a filter press 21 to be recovered from a line 22. On the other hand, the supernatant liquid of the precipitative separation tank 15 and the separated liquid from the filter press 21 are sent to a distillation tower 23 through a tank T and the solvent is recovered by distillative operation. In addition, the distillation residue 25 is disposed by burning.
