<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a tracking control, and to attain the prevention of turbulence of a reproducing image, by performing a control based on a control reference signal having a stable cycle, without using the reproducing output signal of a rotary head. CONSTITUTION:By starting up a head motor 4, and a capstan motor 3, and starting the reproduction of a magnetic tape 1, a head is rotated at the speed of a drum 6, and by the control of a phase control part, and performs scan. Simultaneously, the servo of speed and a phase are applied on the motor 3 at the speed of a capstan motor 61, and by the operation of a phase control part, and a tape 1 is fed keeping a prescribed relative relation with the head. A control head 2 scans the track plane of the tape 1 in a longitudinal direction, and has an azimuth and a gap width corresponding to the track of one channel out of plural channels, and increases/decreases corresponding to the change of a contact width between the gear part of the head 2, and the track, and outputs the control reference signal with a normal level only at the time of scanning the track in a stable cycle, regardless the output of the rotary head, to the control circuit of the drum 6.</p> |
