<p>Matrix-type heating elements (21) which are attached to a plate (8) and are connected to line leads or column leads serve for the display of test or measurement results. Depending on measurement or control signals, one line lead and one column lead are activated in each case, by which means the relevant heating element (21) is heated and a visible dot is produced on a data carrier (15). In the case of hearing test equipment, the display dot is stipulated by the frequency and volume of a generated sound. The relevant heating element (21) is heated when the subject has heard the relevant sound and depressed a key.
