PURPOSE:To carry out the sufficient recovery of valuables such as a pigment or a solvent from a waste ink as well as to separate a high b.p. component, by a method wherein a solvent inferior to pigment dispersibility is added to the waste ink to recover the pigment and the separated liquid is subjected to stripping and distillation. CONSTITUTION:A solvent inferior to pigment ispersibility from a solvent tank T1 and a waste ink from a hopper H1 are sufficiently mixed under stirring in a mixing tank T2 and allowed to stand to precipitate the pigment. Subsequently, an org. phase is sent to an evaporation tower S to be evaporated through condenser C1 while warm air or cool air is introduced thereinto from an air diffusing pipe B and while a solvent is recovered in a tank T5, the recovered solvent is sent to a distillation tower DT. On the other hand, a resin or a high b.p. hydrocarbon remaining in the evaporation tower S is flowed out into a residue tank T4. In addition, the pigment precipitated in the tank T2 is fallen onto a dryer D to evaporate the evaporative components in the pigment and, while the gaseous components are passed through an activated carbon adsorbing tower A to treat the solvent component therein, the pigment is recovered to a hopper H2. |
