PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device that can change electrode surely and easily without relying on human power by providing clamping and releasing mechanisms of electrode for torch on a vertically moving member held by a member on a base plate under the torch, and providing a new electrode feeding device on the base plate. CONSTITUTION:A new electrode feeding device 5 and a holding member 6 with its frame surface facing the device 5 and positioned at a proper distance from the device 5 are mounted on a base plate 3 under a torch 2. The member 6 is provided with a vertically movable member 7 and an electrode holding mechanism 8 for torch is mounted to it. After lowering, the mechanism holds a new electrode or the whole stand 13 and ascends and mounts an electrode 15 to a specified torch 2 and releases. The mechanism 8 goes up to near the tip of the torch 2, and after holding the lower part of an old electrode 70 mounted to the torch 2 waits for releasing of upper part of the electrode 70 and goes down. The electrode 70 is inserted into an empty stand 13 and released. If one or both of an rotating device for horizontal rotation of the member 6 and an advancing and retreating device 52 of the mechanism 8 against the member 7, the function can be displayed more effectively. |
