PURPOSE:To prevent entry of rain water into a jointed part of a side plate and a bottom plate in welding a side plate of a tank to a bottom plate, excepting a part of the side plate when executing T-shaped both sides fillet welding, by welding them after providing chipped parts on both sides of the boundary between welded part and unwelded part. CONSTITUTION:The lower end of a side plate base metal 7 is welded by T- shaped both sides fillet welding to the peripheral part at somewhat inside from outer peripheral face of upper face of an annular plate 6D of a bottom plate consisting of butt welded plural small plates. A welded part 8 and an unwelded part 9 are formed at the joint part of the base metal 7 and plate 6d. Then, the bottom of the base metal 7 inside of the tank at the boundary of the two is chipped to form a chipped part 11, and welding 12 is performed between the base metal 7 and plate 6D at the chipped part 11. Further, a chipped part 13 connected to the chipped part 11 is formed on the bottom of the base metal 7 outside of the tank, and welding 14 is performed as mentioned above. By this way, openings at the joint face between the plate 6D and base metal 7 of the welded part 8 and unwelded part 9 are stopped, and rain water is discharged to outside without invading from openeings of the former to openings of the latter. |
