PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which does not cause clogging of nozzles, gives clear print which is not blurred, and is suitable for use in stamps for printing, writing utensils and recording, containing a water-soluble dye, a compd. having a specified structure and water. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble dye, a compd. of formulaI(wherein Z1 is a five a six-membered ring-forming atomic group; R1 is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl, phenyl, substd. phenyl) and water are blended together to obtain the titled compsn. The amount of the compd. of formulaI varies depending on the water- soluble dye to be used, and is generally 0.2-60pts.wt. based on the amount of the ink compsn. Pref. expamples of the compd. are those of formula II wherein R2 is H, methyl, ethyl, a 2-6C hydroxyalkyl, -X1-O-(CH2CH2O)n-H group (wherein X1 is a 1-6C alkylene), n is 1-10; R3-6 are each H, methyl, ethyl.
