PURPOSE:To use a disazo type photoconductive pigment capable of forming both of positive and negative electrostatic images for a photoreceptor with high sensitivity, by providing a photosensitive layer contg. a specified disazo pigment. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contains a disazo pigment represented by the general formula in which R1, R2 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, or halogen. For example, such pigment is obtained by reacting sodium nitrite with 4, 4'-diaminodiphenylamine, and the obtained tetraazonium salt is coupled with 3-hydroxy-2-naphthanilide in water in presence of alkali. 2pts.wt. of this azo pigment, 6pts.wt. polyester resin, and 65pts.wt. tetrahydrofuran are pulverized and mixed to prepare a coating fluid. A base made of aluminum is coated with this fluid, dried at 100 deg.C to obtain an electrophotographic receptor. |
