PURPOSE:To prevent ashes from accumulating in a combustion chamber of the titled device and contrive to carry out the stable operation of the titled device for a long period of time by causing ashes of pulverized coal together with waste gas to blow through gaps between original stones, and to be discharged from the furnace top, in the titled vertical type calcining device for limestones and the like. CONSTITUTION:Burners 4a for pulverized coal are inserted through from the vicinity of the joint part of an outer cylinder 1 and the combustion chamber 2 downward toward the lower part of a bridge 6 or the burner 4a for pulverized coal is inserted through from the joint part of the outer cylinder 1 and the combustion chamber 2 toward the tip end of a combustion chamber 4. Accordingly, the ashes of pulverized coal full directly onto a material to be burnt. The major portion of the ashes blows through the gaps between thick stones together with the waste gas, and is discharged through the furnace top to the outside of the furnace by an exhauster, and a part of the ashes is discharged through the furnace bottom. By this arrangement, the ashes do not accumulate within the combustion chamber 2, and hence a stable operation for a long period of time of the device is facilitated. Burners 4b for burning heavy oil or gas are fitted in the combustion chamber 2, and used for the raise in the ignition temperature or the adjustment of temperatures of the burners 4a for pulverized coal. |
