PURPOSE:To increase current collecting efficiency and reduce material and man- hour by placing a current collector obtained by forming a sintered porous body of metal powder on one side of a metal plate on a projecting end part of an electrode plate and by welding them in a contact point of the porous body and the projecting end of the electrode plate. CONSTITUTION:A current collector 5 obtained by forming a sintered porous body 6 of metal powder on one side of a metal plate is placed on a projecting end part 4 of a cathode plate 2. In such a way, the current collector 5 is installed in a wound type electrode body constructed by interposing a separator 3 between an anode plate 1 and a cathode plate 2 obtained by impregnating a specified active mass respectively in a sintered substrate. No active mass is impregnated in the end part 4. A contact point of the porous body 6 and the end part 4 of the cathode plate 2 is welded with a pair of welding electrodes in contact with the current collector 5. |
