PURPOSE:To perform positioning of a magnetic head with a simple constitution and high precision, by using a driving element utilizing an electrosrictive effect to the driving part of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A logic control part 1 reads the position signal of a magnetic head 4 detected by a position sensor 5 in the form of a digital quantity through a data converting circuit 6. This digital value is compared with the target position of the head 4 to be positioned next. Then a piezoelectric element driving voltage generating part 2 applies the driving voltage to the piezoelectric element incorporated into a driving element 3 based on a command given from the part 1. |
