The hot water generator has an inner combustion chamber (15) with a fuel grille at the base, through which the hot gases pass. A heat-exchanger (23) is installed in the vertical flue way (16). The boiler is completely demountable for transporting and maintenance. The outer casing is formed from two side plates (5,6) with end flanges (12,13) respectively onto which bolts an end cover (9). The end cover incorporates a fuel loading door (10). The other end cover (2) has flanges (3,4) which engage with the side plates. The flue way is formed by an inner flanged partition (14) which separates the flue way from the combustion chamber. All joints are bolted and have asbestos gaskets.
