PURPOSE:To improve realiability for casting work by closing the charging port of a sprue clay pipe with a temporally closing member, setting this to a pattern, and packing sand then covering the top surface of the mold with a film and installing a runner box in the upper part of the sprue clay pipe thereby sealing the same sufficiently tightly and preventing the dropping of the sand into the mold during sucking of the sand mold. CONSTITUTION:First, the charging port of a sprue clay pipe 1 is sealed beforehand with a sheet-like temporally closing member 6. Then, the pipe 1 is set to a pattern, after which sand is packed and a mold is molded. The top surface of the mold is covered with a film 5 together with the pipe 1, and a runner box 3 is installed thereon. In the stage of charging, the film 5 and the member 6 covering the top surface of the pipe 1 are cut with a knife. |
