PURPOSE:To permit feeding of originals successively onto contact glass by opening and closing of an original pressing member by the mechanism wherein when the original pressing member is oscillated upward an original delivery roll is rotated by a gear train incuding a sector gear so that the originals are delivered onto the peripheral surface of the roll from the original placing part. CONSTITUTION:Plural sheets of sheet originals O are placed on an original placing part 12 of an original pressing member 11 and after the originals are retained with a preventing member 35 for falling, the pressing member is oscillated upward around a pivotal shaft 3 by a handle part 15, then the number of revolutions of a gear 21 is increased by a sector gear 13b, and revolutions are transmitted to the shaft 3 via a gear 23 and a one-way clutch 23A, by which an original delivery roll 17 is rotated. Only the original O1 in the lowermost position placed on the original placing part is delivered onto contact glass G by passing through the clearance between the roll 17 and an original guiding member 24; therefore the operator draws the entire part of the original O1 by holding the preceding end Oa of the original O1, positions the original on the glass G and performs copying operation by oscillating the member 11 downward. |
