PURPOSE:To reduce the ventilating resistance of a cooling air passage between a rotor and a pole core by laterally asymmetrically forming the pole core pawl sectional shape of the rotor core of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:Pole cores 8a are formed circumferentially at an equal interval on the outer periphery of a rotor core 8. The pole core sides 8b, 8c of the pawl of the core 8a is formed asymmetrically. In other words, the angle beta of the pole core side 8b of the pawl of the core 8a is increased, the angle alpha of the pole core side 8c is decreased, and the sectional area of the cooling air passage at the side of the core side 8b is increased, thereby reducing the ventilating passage resistance of the cooling air passage between the cores 8. |
