MALODOROUS GAS ABSORBING BODY

PURPOSE:To obtain a safe malodorous gas absorbing body which is free from possibility of leakage of internal liquid from the bag by packaging porous materials which carry malodrous gas absorbents in the form of liquid with a film which permits penetration of only the gases and prohibits the penetration of liquid. CONSTITUTION:Nonvolatile inorg. or org. acids such as phosphoric acid and malic acid are used as a malodorous gas absorbent in the form of liquid for basic malodorous gases and an aq. soln. of alkaline materials such as caustic soda and triethanol amine is used for acidic gases. There absorbents are carried on porous materials such as vermiculite or cone cob meal by using a V-type mixture or the like. Such materials are sealed in bags made of a film which has extremely fine holes at high density, permits the penetration of malodorous gases but prohibits the penetration of liquid. The resultant malodorous gas absorbent is used by suspending the same in spaces in home or offices where malodors are produced or placing the same on flat surfaces.
