PURPOSE:To lower potential gradient on the surface of a shield ring and to shorten an insulating distance by a construction wherein filled in a wedge-like gap between a supporting insulator and the shield ring an insulator having the same dielectric constant as the supporting insulator. CONSTITUTION:A liquid insulator 5 is filled in a gap B between a supporting insulator 3 supporting a transformer winding body 2 and a shield ring 1 for moderating the electric field. The liquid insulator 5 has the substantially same dielectric constant as the supporting insulator 3 and it is hardened with the lapse of a given time after filling. With such construction, it becomes possible to lower potential gradient on the surface of the shield ring 1 and hence to shorten the insulating distance required. |
