Receptacle for generating steam for sterilizing sampling accessories on receptacles containing readily contaminatable liquids. Open, transportable receptacle which is designed such that only a relatively small proportion of the water content is brought to the boil, thereby obtaining a rapid development of steam, which is conducted, with the aid of tubing, through or around the sampling accessory. Cylindrical boiling receptacle 1, whose upper part is designed as a tubing connection piece 2, an outer cylindrical receptacle 3 which is concentric with the inner receptacle, and a tube connection 4 between the lower part of the two receptacles. <IMAGE>
