PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from crouching at starting under braking, by using the signals of a vehicle stoppage sensor, a brake switch and a throttle switch to control a solenoid-driven variable orifice built in a hydraulic buffer. CONSTITUTION:When a vehicle is started under both braking and acceleration, a vehicle stoppage signal 402, braking signals 404, 406, a throttle signal 408, a drive shift position signal 410 and an inclination signal 412 are entered into a control circuit 78 to operate a coil energizing circuit 108 through an AND gate 80 and a flip-flop 106 to supply an energizing current to a solenoid 44. Consequently, a variable orifice 40 is closed by a valve 52a so that a damping force is temporarily increased. When the vehicle has begun to move stationarily after that, a vehicle stoppage sensor 60 and a stationary movement detection circuit 90 geneate output signals 416, 414 to cut off the energizing current for the solenoid 44 to open the orifice 40. The vehicle is thereby prevented from crouching. |
