PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure- and heat-sensitive recording paper excellent in light resistance, water resistance, and fastness by adding a fluoran derivative having a specific structural formula, as an electron-donative chromogenic agent, to a supporter. CONSTITUTION:A fluoran derivative of the formulaI[where R<1> is a C1-C8 alkyl, cyclo alkyl, phenyl alkyl whose nucleus may be substituted with methyl or a halogen, a C2-C8 askenyl, a C3-C10 alkoxyalkyl or alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, or a phenyl whose nucleus may be substituted with a halogen or an alkyl, R<2> is a C1-C8 alkyl, a C2-C8 alkenyl, a C3-C10 alkoxyalkyl or alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, or a phenylalkyl whose nucleus may be substituted with a halogen, R<1> and R<2> may be the groups of the formula (II) (p is 4-6), and R<3> is a C1-C12 acyalkyl, X is Cl, Br or I, and A is a 1,2-phenylene-2,3-naphthylene nucleus may be substituted with a halogen or nitrol is added as an electron donative chromogenic agent to a supporter to obtain a recording paper. |
