PURPOSE:To prepare a novel amylase inhibitor KI-26A, by cultivating a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces. CONSTITUTION:A microcoganism, e.g. Streptomyces griseofuscus var. TA-26 (FERM-P No. 6171), belonging to the genus Streptomyces, and having the ablility to produce amylase inhibitor KI-26A is inoculated into a liquid nutrient culture medium, and cultivated at 5.0-8.0pH and 20-40 deg.C under aerobic conditions for 1-6 days to collect the aimed amylase inhibitor KI-26A mainly from the culture fluid. |
