PURPOSE:To obtain a diazo heat-sensitive recording material capable of light fixation and having a heat-sensitive layer containing as the main components a specific 1,2-benzocarbazole derivative as a coupler, a diazo compound, and a heat-meltable substance. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive layer containing as main components a diazo compound, a coupler, and heat-meltable substance is provided on a supporter to obtain a heat-sensitive recording material. In this case, as the coupler, a compound of the formula (where X is an alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, H, OH, carboxyl, or sulfonic acid) is used. To obtain a a product having more raised long-term stability, as the diazo compound used, a water-insoluble salt of hydrofluoric acid, e.g., -BF4, -PF6, etc., is used advantageously. Also, to form said heat-sensitive chromogenic layer, one or other layer is formed on a supporter, and it is necessary to add a comparatively large amount of a heat-meltable substance to at least one layer. |
