PURPOSE:To improve the processing capability of a channel, by connecting the channel and a disc controller again to transfer data of a buffer storage part to the channel after data on a magnetic recording medium is stored in the buffer storage part. CONSTITUTION:Commands, data, and control information are transmitted and received through a channel interface circuit part 1 of a magnetic disc controller, and a program which controls operations of respective parts of the controller is stored in a control storage part 2. The program is analyzed and executed in a controlling part 3 to control respective parts, and a data buffering storage part 4 is provided with a capacity corresponding to one maximum track for data buffering, and input/output operations and the transfer of control information are controlled by a device interface circuit part 5. A reading position is determined in the storage part 2 by position information from the circuit part 1, and data of the storage part 2 is stored in the storage part 4, and thereafter, the circuit part 1 and the circuit part 5 are connected again by the control of the controlling part 3, and data of the storage part 4 is transferred to the circuit part 1. |
