An insulation-piercing terminal (20) with a terminal slot (24) and an expanded, open slotted mouth (25) is inserted into an insulating plastic guide (14) having parallel, opposite guide slots (17), which have an expanded open mouth (18). The hollow space of the guide (14) has a funnel-shaped abutment surface for supporting the insulation-piercing terminal (20) in a centred manner by means of a constriction. The guide slots (17) have expanded latching points (19). A supply lead (5) with insulation (50) can be pushed laterally into the guide slots (17) and latched in a clamping manner to the latching points (19), the conductor (51) being clamped in the terminal slot (24) subject to deformation (510), because the insulation-piercing terminal (20) cuts through the insulation (50). As a result of a suitable wall thickness in the region of the guide slots (17), the supply lead end (500) can be held such that it is proof against electric shocks. <IMAGE>
