In a device for actuating a flap, especially an air flap in a vehicle, a pivotably arranged lever having a guide track forming an obtuse angle is provided, the guide track receiving a control pin, the direction of movement of which corresponds to the course of a first portion which extends as far as the vertex of the guide track and during the passage of which the lever does not execute any pivoting movement. In order to prevent undesired pivoting movements, whilst ensuring a simple construction not tied to a particular location, the control pin is received fixedly in terms of rotation by a guide extending parallel to the first portion of the guide track, the pivot axis of the flap coinciding with the pivot axis of the lever.
