<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the quick recovery of the faults of an automatic teller machine ATM by displaying a cross section the medium carrying route for the unit of the faulty ATM on a CRT of a remote supervisory and control equipment and a medium stop position. CONSTITUTION:A control part 15 of an ATM 1 contains a cross section showing the medium carrying route as well as a correspondence table between the sensor positions within a unit and the coordinates on the cross section. When one of units has a medium carrying fault, the information showing the medium stop position in said unit is coded. This coded information is transmitted from the unit. While a control part 23 of a remote supervisory and control equipment 2 displays the coded information sent from the ATM 1 as well as the cross section information on a CRT 21 when a fault occurs. In such a way, the faults of the ATM 1 can be quickly recovered.</p> |
