PURPOSE:To efficiently burn a peteroleum heavy-duty fraction, by a method wherein, in a device provided with a plurality of mixture paths being open to a front end surface of a burner tip, a plurality of gas jet holes, whose jet direction intersects the axis line of said paths, are formed in the proximity of the openings of the mixture passages. CONSTITUTION:A burner device causes fuel 1, being of heavy-duty oil such as asphalt, to burn with a jet of it into a fire furnace after mixture of it with a pressure medium 2 at a passage 3. In said device, a gas jet hole 6 is formed in a shape that it widens in a direction of a radius toward the outside from an end part of a burner tip 6, and it is open in the proximity of a fuel jet hole 3a. When the fuel 1 is sprayed through the jet holes 3a, gas 9 such as air, steam and the like is jetted through the jet holes 6 so that it intersects sprayed fuel 7, and a toroidal thin air layer is formed on the end of the burner tip 5. This prevents the accumulation and growth of unburning carbon present around the fuel jet holes 3a, improves a flame-keeping property, and performs an efficient burning of a petroluem heavy-duty fraction. |
