PURPOSE:To improve the durability of the titled valve by a method wherein an annular rib inclined with respect to the axis of an elastic pipe is provided within the pipe so that a bent part of a compressible section of the pipe is less deformed at the time of interrupting a fluid flowing through the pipe. CONSTITUTION:The annular rib 1 which is circular in section is formed integral with the elastic pipe 2 in such a manner that a part of the rib 1 is connected to the inner surface of the pipe 2 and held inclined with respect to the axis of the pipe. The angle of inclination of the rib 1 with respect to the axis of the pipe 2 is preferably about 32 deg. because by so doing, the pipe 2 becomes substantially circular when it is in a compressed condition. Thus, in case where a compression plate 4 is lowered to flatten the pipe 2, the corners 24 of the plate 4 comes to lie inside the inner circumference of the rib 1 and therefore, an upper clearance 22 becomes smaller than when the entire region of the clearance 22 is compressed by the flat compression plate 4 so that the deformation of the bent part of the compressible section of the pipe 2 is relieved locally. |
