PURPOSE:To detect defectively glued parts by detecting the discharge current between electrodes which are disposed opposite to the surface to be coated with paste. CONSTITUTION:Developed sheets S for paper boxes are conveyed at prescribed intervals, pass through a gluing disc 12 and advance while paste P is stuck on the gluing margins 14 on the bottom surfaces of the sheets S. When the arrival of the front end of the sheet S at the upper position of an electrode 21 is detected by detectors 33, 34, a high voltage power source of a detecting circuit 19 is closed and high voltage is applied between the electrode 21 and the disc 12. The electrode 21 discharges electricity toward the paste P' stuck on the margins 14 of the sheet S and electric current flows through the paste P'. When an interrupting part A by thinning or defective coating is produced in the paste stuck on the margins 14 of the sheet S, the discharge current decreases and the decrease thereof is detected and an alarm device 31 is triggered, by which the production of said part is announced to the operator. |
