A sidelight lamp socket for motor vehicle headlights. The invention describes a sidelight lamp socket for, in particular, small base diameters, for example BA7 or BA9, in which the distance between the plug pins is greater than the diameter of the base of the incandescent lamp. According to the invention, the contact parts which are arranged in the insulating body and make contact with the incandescent lamp are cut out of one another with a burr at the end on the plug-pin side, and the two limbs are interwoven with one another. Plug pins are pushed in between the limbs, which plug pins latch by means of a tab into a window in the two limbs. At the ends of the limbs, flaps are bent away with respect to one another, which flaps rest on edges of a lug when the plug pins are inserted, in order to hold the contact parts in the insulating body.
