PURPOSE:To incinerate sawdust, woods and the like as fuel and simultaneously to enable the effective utilization of combustion gas as heat energy, by a method wherein, in a solid fuel boiler, a heat exchanger is mounted to an incinerator, and they are connected together through the medium of a hot blast path. CONSTITUTION:In operation, a solid fuel 5 on a rooster 10 is first ignited, and combustion is started under the feed of air from an air feed means 16. Combustion gas produced by said combustion escapes to a fire grate 8 through a slit 12 in a rooster 10 and passes through a hot blast path 18, and flows through the inside of a pipe 22 in a heat exchanger 4. Water in water jacket 26 being installed ranging from the fire grate 8 to the pipe 22 through the hot blast path 18 is heated by heat energy of the current combustion gas, and the combustion gas is then exhausted to the air from a chimney, not shown, through a dustcut 24. This permits sawdust to be incinerated as solid fuel and simultaneously allows hot water to be produced efficiently. |
