PURPOSE:To pickup and input pictures of a weld line and end points excellently by opening and shutter of an image pickup means only for a short-circuit time during short-circuit arc welding and thus inputting pictures, and regarding only pictures whose short-circuit times are longer than the specified time as input data. CONSTITUTION:In response to a short-circuit signal detected by the short-circuit detecting meansIconsisting of a filter circuit 8 for removing noise components from an arc voltage and a short-circuit detecting circuit 9, a shutter 12 is opened through a driving circuit 13 to input a picture of a weld zone to a camera 11. Image pickup data obtained by the camera 11 is inputted to and stored in a frame memory circuit 14. Although pictures are inputted to an image pickup means III every time a short-circuit occurs, the S/N ratio of the picture decreases if the short-circuit time is too short. For this purpose, a short-circuit time measuring means II is utilized to send only data having an image pickup period longer than the specified time to a computer part 15, and current data in the circuit 14 is inputted to and processed by the circuit 15. |
