Torque transmitting balls (19) are interposed between both clutch members(12,15) & received in respective ball receiving openings formed in the opposing inside surfaces (14,18) of the clutch members. The balls are moved out of the opening upon application of an overload along a number of ball guide slots(25) which are in either one of the clutch members. The slots extend in a slightly contour from one end communicating with each of the openings, so that the ball distance from the axis of the clutch members is gradually changed. On the other clutch member a rotatable member of annular shape is disposed in an annular groove formed at a radial position confronting the other one of the slot. |
