The device for controlling the pressure and flow of an adjustable pump according to Fig. 1 comprises a proportional throttle valve (41) arranged in the feedline (20) of the pump (10), a flow regulating valve (47) connected in parallel and a proportional pressure valve (52) arranged parallel to the proportional throttle valve. Between throttle valve (41) and pressure valve (52) a differential pressure valve (51) is connected, the discharge line of which opens back into the feedline after the throttle valve (41). Owing to the combination and special arrangement of these valves a particularly precise control of the flow and pressure of the pump (11) and/or of the consuming units supplied by them is achieved. <IMAGE>
