A method and control circuit are indicated to supply power to a plurality of model vehicles, such as model railway vehicles, fed via a common supply line in order to be able to eliminate the voltage changes which occur on the common supply line due to the simultaneous operation of the plurality of model vehicles. For this purpose, the supply voltage available in each case on the common supply line (1) is evaluated with the aid of a measurement transformer (2) which acts on at least one second control element (3) by means of its output signal. This second control element (3) is coupled to one or more first control elements (4) with which the control commands to be sent in each case to the individual model vehicles can be manually set. The control commands are transmitted by a signal generator (5) via an unstabilised power component (6) to the common supply line (1). If a plurality of model vehicles are supplied via the common supply line with control commands in such a way that they all simultaneously extract a relatively high current in order to power their drive motors, the supply voltage available on the supply line can fall, whereby in turn the model vehicles do not reach their speeds predefined by the control commands. Due to the effect of the second control element(s) (3) determined by a supply voltage drop of this type, the control commands transmitted by the signal generator are modified in such a way that the model vehicles reach their required speeds despite the lower supply voltage. The inverse conditions occur, however, when a rise in the supply voltage takes place due to a reduction in the current drain occasioned by a plurality of simultaneously operated model vehicles, whereby the speed of the model vehicles still being operated would in turn rise above the speed predefined by the control commands. <IMAGE>
