PURPOSE:To segment accurately on the form of any format, by giving the pitch of marks as format data to a paper feed controlling part and a mark pitch controlling part to control carrying and segmenting of the form. CONSTITUTION:A form 100 is carried to a position under a light source 101 by a paper feed controlling part 5, and the reflected light in a prescribed position of the form 100 is imaged on a line sensor of a photoelectric converting part 1. One-unit components of information on the form 100 which are converted to an electric signal in this converting part 1 are held in a line buffer part 2. One- unit line components of data in this buffer part 2 are read out to a cutting part 3 and is outputted to a mark detecting part 4 by the control of a mark pitch controlling part 6. Information FC designating the pitch of marks is sent from a CPU to paper feed and mark pitch controlling parts 5 and 6 of the mark reader having this constitution to control carrying and segmenting of the form 100. Thus, data is segmented accurately on the form of any format to improve the mark read precision. |
