PURPOSE:To realize long-time stable use by setting the resistance value of a conductive cleaning roller to >=10<3>OMEGA.cm, and preventing the generation of a spark. CONSTITUTION:A recovery roller 22 as a conductive cleaning roller supported pivotally on a photoreceptor 3 so that it is driven to roll in contact with the photoreceptor 3 is made of a conductive material with a 10<3>-10<7>OMEGA.cm resistance value, e.g. a conductive rubber material, and is applied with a bias voltage which has the same charging polarity with the photoreceptor 3 and the opposite polarity to sticking toner and is at an about 150V low potential. This recovery roller 2 comes into contact with the photoreceptor 3 with prescribed pressure during the rotation of the photoreceptor 3 and separates from it during the stopping of the photoreceptor 3. The tip of the sub blade 23 of a rubber plate comes into slid contact with the rotation-directional side of the recovery roller 22. |
