Abrasive grain containing 15-75% by volume of diamond grit and 85-25% by volume of a diluent grain having a Moh hardness of 4.0-8.5 is bonded to a backing member by at least one coat of adhesive. Diluent abrasives specified are flint, emery, garnet, ground glass and ground phenolic resins with or without calcium carbonate. The backing may be cotton fabric, paper, fibre, leather, or nylon. The backing may be waterproofed. |
