PURPOSE:To shorten a discharging time and to increase the running speed of an electrostatic recording medium through simple constitution by making part of a cleaning blade conductive, and applying a voltage having the opposite polarity to a latent image. CONSTITUTION:In a dielectric surface layer on an endless sheet electromagnetic recording medium 3 extended between rollers 1 and 2, an electrostatic latent image is formed by an electrostatic recording head 4 and developed at a development part 6, so that the image is observed in the direction of an arrow C. This toner image is cleaned with a cleaning blade 9. The cleaning blade 9 is made of conductive rubber, etc., and applied with DC voltage from a power source 10 through a blade holder 8. The DC voltage has the opposite polarity to the electrostatic latent image formed on the dielectric surface. |
