PURPOSE:To improve carrying for a developer, to stabilize the carrying operation, and to obtain a visible image with high density by using a developer carrying means having magnetism. CONSTITUTION:A rotating sleeve 4 consists of a nonmagnetic base body 4a of aluminum and a magnetic layer 4b formed on its surface, and is provided surrounding magnets 2a-2g. The magnetic layer 4b is formed of various materials in various methods, and uses alloys of each magnetic material such as iron, nickel, cobalt and other materials, or alloys of >=2 kind of those magnetic materials, etc. As this sleeve 4 rotates as shown by an arrow, the amount of a developer is regulated by a regulating projection 8 after it is carried by the sleeve 4, and at a magnet 2e, a photosensitive drum 9 is rubbed to perform development. This rotating sleeve 4 as a developer carrying means has the magnetic layer 4b, so a visible image of high picture quality with high density is obtained. |
