PURPOSE:To simplify an electrolytic cell structure and to increase the electrolytic efficiency, by setting a casing as a cathode and covering the inner surface other than its surface using as an electrode opposite to plural bipolar electrodes mutually provided at intervals in the side, with insulating materials. CONSTITUTION:Plural bipolar type electrode plates 1 are provided in the casing 3a and the electrolytic cell is constructed by connecting a casing 3b made of insulating materials to the casing 3a. Sea water (a) is poured from a nozzle 9 into the cell and is discharged from a nozzle 10 through a gap between electrode plates 1. The sea water (a) is electrolysed by setting the casing 3a as a cathode and an electric conduction rod 4 as an anode, respectively. The electrolytic efficiency is furthermore increased in such a case that an electrode plate 6 welded to the casing 3a is the same shape and size as that of the electrode 1. |
