PURPOSE:To have accurate dressing of a grinding wheel by sensing the positions of the table and grinding wheel, when the dressor is put in contact with the shoulder part of grinding wheel, and by controlling the relative position of grinding wheel to the table, when dressing is made, on the basis of this positional data obtained. CONSTITUTION:When the tip of a dressing tool DT has touched the shoulder part Gb of the grinding wheel G while it is in rotation and the wheel table 27 and work table 21 are moved in manual mode, the positional data Dy, Dx output counters 45, 46 are read in and sensed respective positions of the work table 21 and grinding wheel 27 by an NC device 40. On the basis thereof the data to indicate the tip position of the dressor DT is subjected to operation. When the action for sensing the position of this dressor DT is completed, the operator pushes a command switch CS3 for giving a command about dressing of the grinding wheel every time a certain specified number of work are completed to give the NC device 40 a command about actuation of dressing. |
