<p>The portable box is of folded sheet material, e.g. corrugated paper, with a symmetrical inbuilt reinforcing strip (15), typically of tape. Openings are formed in the top of the box either side of this strip by folding supporting flaps (11) down into the box from the top (4), so as to bear against the gable ends (9). The design gives stiffness, and the box can be lifted by the handle (15) formed by the strip even with a heavy load.</p> |
