PURPOSE:To modify functions of terminal equipment according to the scale and purpose of each CATV, by selectively connecting the terminal equipment and its operation part and then using all or some specific functions of the terminal equipment in accordance with the selection of the operation part. CONSTITUTION:A branch line cable 9 is connected to a converter in a main box 10 through a branching device 30 and also connected to a data transmission part 33 and a data reception part 34 through a branching device 32. Then, the main box 10 is provided with a connector 37, and control boxes 12, 12A, 12B, and 12C having different functions are selected freely and connected to the connector. When one channel is selected, its signal is sent to a control part 35 through a plug 38 and the connector 37 and a converter 31 is controlled by a signal from the control part 35 to tune to the specific channel. |
