PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized device which eliminates the need for maintenance, and to have less power consumption and short transfer time, by providing a photoelectric conversion type read part, a thermal transfer printing part, a means of changing printing shift direction of a head by the forward movement and backward movement of an objective to be read, etc. CONSTITUTION:An original read part 30 converts information on a read objective photoelectrically by using a strict contact line dot sensor, and a thermal transfer type printing part transfers its readout result to a transfer material P by using a thermal line dot head 46 utilizing a heat resistor and a thermal transfer body 45. Further, this recording device is provided with a means 34 of moving the read objective forward (as shown by arrow a, b) during successive transfer, and a means of changing scanning direction of the contact line dot sensor or printing shift direction of the thermal line dot head 46 by the forward movement and backward movement. |
